Fall 2025 Exhibition Request Deadline: May 11, 2025, 11:59 pm

CCA Exhibitions curates programs for the college’s teaching galleries (the Campus Gallery, PLAySPACE Gallery, and the Deborah and Kenneth Novack Gallery). These programs emphasize professional development and meaningful engagement with visiting artists and the local community. Additional information about the CCA Exhibitions department and the teaching galleries, including archive images from past exhibitions and other opportunities, can be found on the Exhibitions Portal site.

General Information

The Exhibitions department is currently accepting exhibition requests for the 2025-2026 academic year. Requests for the fall semester will be prioritized, and a response will be provided in May, including confirmation, questions, and/or possible dates. We are also accepting requests for Spring of 2026 and Summer of 2026. Please let us know if there is a specific timeframe within which your exhibition needs to take place, due to coordinating with another event, class schedule, etc.

This exhibition request form is for program and departmental exhibitions, faculty-organized exhibitions related to coursework, scholarship or award exhibitions, and theme-based or curated exhibitions organized by faculty. Exhibition requests may be shared with Program Chairs and divisional Deans and Directors to ensure the events connect to program/division goals. Please note that exhibitions organized by students are part of our PLAySPACE Gallery Program and have a different timeline and process. Requests for the Nave, Nave walls, and outdoor spaces go through Coursedog and are not directly overseen by our team.

Exhibitions in the Campus Gallery and the Novack Gallery are typically open to the public 3-4 weeks.

More information about our galleries, including images and floor plans, is posted here.

Priorities

We typically receive more requests than we are able to accommodate. Exhibitions with the following characteristics will have priority:

  • Exhibitions supporting a CCA college-wide initiative
  • Exhibitions that align with key program or departmental goals
  • Faculty-led exhibitions integrated into CCA curriculum
  • Faculty or staff-organized exhibition group proposals
    • Note: We typically do not accept proposals for solo exhibitions, unless they are connected to a specific gift, funding source, or college-wide initiative.

Please note that the Exhibitions Department does not support curricular or thesis reviews outside of the Bachelor of Fine Arts program.

Additional Information for Applicants

  • This exhibition request form is for staff and faculty. Please note that exhibitions organized by students have a different timeline and process.
  • We are not able to offer monetary support to produce exhibitions. We are able to offer you basic tools and hardware, installation/deinstallation support by a staff member and or our work-study preparators on designated install/deinstall days, promotion on social media, shared documentation images via the Exhibitions Flickr account, a staffed opening reception during our regular weekly reception time (currently Wednesday 5-7pm), and for the Novack Gallery and Campus Gallery, a staffed gallery space during our standard gallery hours.
  • For all exhibition requests, one person will need to be the lead exhibition organizer and primary contact person for the Exhibitions Program. The exhibition organizer, or a designated CCA staff member, must attend install and de-install times and communicate with and provide information to the Exhibitions Program and to all exhibition participants.
  • Exhibitions must be open to the public during standard gallery hours. Visit our gallery page for more information. If you are CCA staff or faculty and are planning a larger exhibition, please include your installation timeframe needs in your request.
  • Opening receptions take place on Wednesdays from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. This is when we are staffed to support receptions, please plan to work within this schedule. All receptions must take place during these designated dates and times. Additional visits, events, performances, tours, etc., are welcome during gallery hours.
  • After applications are reviewed, we will be in touch to ask additional questions, let you know if your request is feasible, and, if so, to work with you to confirm or to notify you of your exhibition location and time slot via an exhibition agreement form. Applications for the Fall 2025 semester will receive a response in May.
